Shakin'
Hot damn fuck, this is pretty good: although having somewhat of a light slight flu, I'm enjoying myself. After having ate a strange-ass omelette for breakfast, I'm sipping coffee while reading the Jessica Hopper column in the latest issue of Punk Planet, recording the Swedish Ish 12" and the MBMA 12" "Vulgära vovvar" to my olde computer and recording all three Dolemite movies to VHS for easy loaning-to-pals. Don't you dare complain about my simultaneous capabilities!
I've also found a small storage space in the basement, to which I will carry some crap that I really don't see needed on a day-to-day or even year-to-year basis. Oh. I'm working half-time now, but so far I haven't done much in my spare time except cooking, eating, sleeping and reading and burning CDs. That kinda shiznitz. Yesterday was loot day: bought the previously mentioned Swedish Ish record (featuring Sage Francis, no less), a used copy of The Jesus Lizard's so-so Head/Pure, The Nick Tosches Reader, a little Swedish fanzine called Chrome, the second Books of Magic collection (pretty damn good, actually), the 18th 300 page Lone Wolf and Cub book (see previous diary entry for description) and that's about it.
I've read quite a few books lately, too, for the first time in ages. Pelecano's Nick Stefanos trilogy and Jon A. Jackson's first Mulheisen book, to mention some. By the way, the other week I realized that my Miracleman TPBs costs a bunch, like 200USD for Book 2. Uncanny. I've never had a book or record that was as expensive as that before. Not that it's a big deal, I was just kinda shocked. And alkso irritated that Alan Moore's Miracle man: Olympus costs 300 USD used, and I've wanted to read that fucker for ages. Why oh why didn't I buy it at the time.
Also, I found Linklater's new movie, Waking Life, which I've been looking forward to watch ever since I read about it in RES. It looks well cool, but per usual se it probably won't be released in theatres here in Sweden. Don't fucking critizise me for downloading movies when no-one makes them available here. And I don't have a DVD, either (luckily!). Last week I went to see three movies: the crap-as-ass Jet Li clunker The One, the pretty-cool Spy Game and the Indian feel-good eye candy flick Monsoon Wedding. Watch that one! It's pretty sexy in a chaste way, and stuffed with pounding indian music, both traditional and neo-Bollywood stylings signed Bally Sagoo. Can-dy.

Aestethic Apparatus & stuff
This is my final entry from this computer. It's not my final day at work, I guess, but I have vacation to take out, so...
...I'll go home now, yes I will. I'll go home & kick back. Very very soon. After today, I'll only work half time. Yes I will, yes I will...

Dear Fascist Bullyboy Record Companies,
here's an alternative to your music killing ethos (which apparently totally lacks ethics).
This is my last week at one of my jobs. perhaps I'll start writing more after that is over and done with...

Geekoid fun!
You know, I fucking hate when people can't do a simple task like sorting garbage into paper and non-paper. Fuck them! Goddamned swine!
By the way: Cannibal Ox, Deep Puddle Dynamics, Back Off Cupids, Supersuckers, Ryan Adams, Solomon Burke, Barbara Manning, Thalia Zedek. Et cetera!

"Maakies", matey!
The enigmatic Mister Tony Millionaire draws one of the funniest cartoons I've read in a long while, brilliantly drawn and completely bizarre, "Maakies". The ugly sockmonkey of a bosun and the drunken crow of an - er - drunken crow. The french alligator seamen. The drunken suicidal antics. The corpses. The sex. The alcohol by the truckload. A little something for everyone.
I just came home from the movies, having watched Wong Kar-Wai's In the Mood for Love, a slow-paced and sad movie, thoroughly beautiful. Heck, Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung are so classicaly beautiful. And sorrowful. I loved the way Maggie's hands looked a bit old, how one of her fingers looked like she had washed too many dishes. Worn. Her eyes, like Tony Leung's, looks a bit roadworn and weary, but also repressed romantic. Man, she's truly beautiful, like a 40s/50s Hollywood actress. It was almost painful to watch her, I totally misted up whenever she walked in slow motion, or slowly looked up into the camera, or into the mirror. All in all, it's one helluva beautiful movie, not so very strange, but eerily calm and yea, sad...
I'll go make a sandwich now. Salami and red onion and tomato and parmesan and olive oil and zap it into the oven. Make a latte at the same time. Eat. Drink. Sleep. Dream. And tomorrow the same thing.

Bumfucking CoS morons everywhere! Boycot them!
Man, oh man, my stomach is full, stretched beyond it's physical borders. On saturday, I mostly ate cheese - first a LOT of grilled cheese ciabattas for breakfast, then a Quatro Formaggi pizza for supper - wich must have coated my gullet with a film of scamorza, mozzarella, gorgonzola and pecorino. Cheese it!

New Year, New Pita
Man, I'm such a bum! I never write hera anymore, but I guess it's because I haven't felt that this particular outlet was of much import. Perhaps it will be once again, some time in the future.
Christmas was relaxed and fruitful. New Years' was relaxed and drunken. I'm becoming a goddamned old man. I'll try to get back again soon. Ish.
